Hier mal ein Beitrag aus Facebook zu Problemen mit verschlissenen Kupplungen:
"Just noticed a post about the all too familiar Kat 1100 clutch failure. Now that these bikes are passed their 3rd decade it is particularly important to pay attention to your clutch noise, particularly at tick over. Often, in the past the belief was that the GSX rattling noise was the clutch springs rattling in their individual housings & was nothing to worry about. In today's world however, this noise needs further investigations. Many GSX clutches have come apart whilst running, often causing catastrophic engine damage. This is due to 3 aging rivets at the back of the clutch basket that holds everything together. Kits can be purchased to rectify this issue before it happens. A good engineering shop should provide a cheap & effective fix. Here is the finished upgrade using heavy duty springs, bored out rivet holes with matching rivets and a little tac welding just to be on the safe side. ... "
