EK12?

A location Belgium like Camping de Hei was in NL has been suggested , but we in UK would prefer it wasn't late July /August as ferry prices double .. We know that your club hosts it's treffen in June .. Any thoughts ?

I know it seems a long way off , but we have our AGM in a few weeks where we organise the next year in enough time for people to organise them selves ..
We also realise that the last few years have been challenging in regards to people not being with us who'd normally be sorting stuff, we have the same issue :? However with the next EK only 11-12 months away we should get the ball rolling ...
WE can sort something I'm sure if required and enough interest , but we are happy to just come over to Germany , we don't need a location at this point just just some dates .. Thoughts?

Hi Fossie,
we've started planning.
One possibility would be the EuroKat with the national meeting at the end of May (with tents only) or in the Sauerland at a canoe club.
Heinz always mentioned the weekend of August 3rd.
What's the best date for you?

Thanks for getting back to us . To be honest we will go with what works best for you .. It is obvious that as the years progress the numbers that can attend get smaller so doubling up with a national meeting makes sense when added to the point that 2 events close to each other in the same country will attract less local attendees mainly for time/ financial reasons. :(

August 3 rd became the traditional date mainly because European countries other than UK are traditionally closed for August so it is easier to get time off .. For UK it means ferry companies up their prices as the schools are closed and holiday requested are limited in workplaces . but if we book in advance enough savings can be made ...
Our meeting is in mid October , So if it is possible to give an indication that'd be good ..

We know the difficulties involved , but no matter when or where , We will be there ..maybe even a Dutchman .. :) :D
